The Polling Place Information

What is The Polling Place?

The polling section allows you to take a poll of any subject you would like. We hope it falls within the definition of good taste because the last thing we want to do is offend anyone but, just asking certain types of questions will offend some people and are still valid questions.

I saw a poll question last week and it is gone today. Why?

The question you saw was voted to be a bad question and removed. When someone asks a question it is assumed it is a "Good" question. When you vote, you decide the quality of the questions. You can see the quality of the question by looking at the Current Poll Question Quality bar below the question.

What happens when I vote?

If you choose "Great" you ensure the question will stay around, If you choose "Good" you have said the question should probably stay around, f you choose "Poor" you have said the question is not very good and it is ok if it goes away and If you choose "Awful" you have said remove the question. It takes most people to sat it is "Awful" before it is removed. One "Great" will offset 6 "Awful" votes.

If someone enters a poll I find offensive, what should I do?

VOTE! If the first 20 people vote awful, the question is gone. If we see it or are notified of an offensive question we will remove it. Remember, we cannot monitor every question and we want to encourage free speech.
